I don’t know about you..but I’m one of those preggos that worries a lot. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m older now and considered semi-high risk, but being pregnant this time around is a little more worrisome for me. So in an effort to ease my worried mind, I decided to have a 3D/4D ultrasound done, I had never had one with my previous 2 children, but several of my friends were doing it..and by golly..it just looks cool!
My experience with Goldenview Ultrasound in Boston, MA was excellent and I wanted to share with you my entire experience so in the event that you would like to see your child pre-birth that you can feel comfortable doing so…and the best part is that I even have a coupon code for you 
I called to make my appointment on Friday and they were able to take me that Sunday..and since I’m a ‘I want it right now’ kinda girl, I was thrilled. Upon arriving at the office, I had to check-in and provide proof that 1. I was currently being seen by a regular doctor and 2. that I had already had a second semester sonogram. I brought a photo of my 20 week sonogram and a bill from my doctor for proof. Once I had registered and filled out the paperwork, Hope, the sonographer brought me and my husband into the ultrasound room. It was nicely decorated, it was warm and inviting. The bed that I laid for the ultrasound was no regular doctors table..it was cushy and comfortable. My favorite part…heated ultrasound gel. Moms..you know how alarming it can be when that sonographer douses you with cold gel!

The room is equipped with a large flat screen TV on the wall where you can see everything happening on the ultrasound. My baby was hiding a bit and using my placenta as a pillow, so the sonographer jiggled my belly around to get him to move..and move he did. He kept waving his hands and kicking his feet as if he was saying “HI Mom, Hi Dad!”

I opted to get the Silver package for $159 which included color 3D/4D photos, Black & White Photos and a DVD of the entire 15 minute session. For me, it was absolutely worth it. I am so much more in love with this little guy than I was before. Everytime I look at the picture I see what a sweet, perfect little boy he is and just can’t wait to meet him.

Sidenote: We were pretty set on a name when we entered the sonogram, but after seeing him…not sure that the name fits him…back to the drawing board!
