Since I didn’t think there were many great matchups, I will explain a little how I save most at Giant Eagle!! I don’t shop around as much as I could, but in the end I get better coupons for it and we save A TON on gas!! Since the end of the Food Perks program, Giant Eagle has started sending out coupons to their customers, the most loyal customers get the best coupons tracked by their Advantage Card. So far since they’ve stopped I’ve gotten $30 in coupons (they work like gift cards $10 off $10 purchase), $5 off flowers, tons of money off fruits and vegetables and other items we buy a lot of! I would say so far I have saved a lot more with the coupons than with the Food Perks!

• NEVER buy meat unless it is Buy One Get One and stock up when it is. Some people say they raise the price of the meat at this time, but it’s just not a sale price and in the end I end up paying less per pound! The ground beef never seems to go on Buy One Get One so I try to stick to less than $3 per pound or head to a local meat place for that!
• Always double check prices, Walmart can be twice as much on a lot of items that Giant Eagle carries! KNOW your prices when your shopping, of course some items Walmart is cheaper on too! Giant Eagle double coupons saving you more on a lot of items too!
• ALWAYS buy Gift Cards for going out to dinner, shopping at the mall, and any purchases you know you either won’t return or don’t mind getting a gift card for that store! They’re doing DOUBLE fuel perks on gift cards this week, the $50 gift cards end up being $44 after you figure the money you save on gas in there! We just got one last night before we headed out for dinner!
• Store will accept competitors coupons and you can use Target printables at Giant Eagle!
• I usually get my ad in the mail on Tuesday, the end of the sales week is Wednesday so I always do my shopping on Tuesday evening or Wednesday to know when the best sales will be and what to wait for!
